I have no idea whether I'm following proper protocol....but I'm posting an intro of myself! I live in Arizona and I stumbled upon verticalsleevetalk.com on the internet! I had VSG on December 18, 2012 in Scottsdale, AZ. Doing really well. I'm down just under 40 lbs. No problems at all and good healing. Just looking for others who are taking this path!!

I'm currently pretty restricted on what I eat. Lots of protein: chicken, turkey, fish, Beans, cooked veggies, peeled fruits, Protein Drinks, dairy. I'm excited to get back to salads and uncooked veggies and beef! I drink about 64 oz of Water a day. I'm walking a mile about 4 days a week. I lost the first 30 lbs really fast and now...I feel like I'm dragging a little bit! I had no required weight to lose before surgery. I do like the feel of baggy clothes already!

So I did it! Was sleeved last Thursday. Had my gall bladder removed and a hiatel hernia repaired. Had no idea about those. Doing pretty well this morning. Going to take a shower and go outside!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
