Wow it wont be long now, and you will be on your way to the NEW YOU!!! Congratulations. I have lots of New/Never opened Jello and broth that I never used if you want. Just let me know maybe save you some money. Also for Multi Vitamins get adult gummies as the horse pills may go down but odds are they wont stay down. Good luck

I'm in Lexington too. Dr Weiss at Central Baptist. I'm 17 months out and doing great! I would love to meet some buddies. I'll be at the support group this Saturday at the surgeon's office at 11am.

Jessica that support group is Central Baptists but you can go its at Bluegrass Bariatrics on Rosebud in Lexington off Sir Barton Way. Central Baptist uses their offices for their meetings. Georgetown Bariatrics has their own meetings. You can call the office and they will send you a schedule. I hope your doing well :)

Hi, I am having my surgery with dr. Weiss as well. I just had the egd done on Wednesday and am almost to my last weigh in for my 6 month diet which is July 10th after I get approved I think I will get my appointment to meet with Weiss and get my surgery date. Can any of you tell me about how long it was between your final appointment where they set your date and the actual date of surgery? I am excited and its been a long six months :) thank you!

Mine was the following week. Yes I agree the wait took forever. I just had my 3 month checkup yesterday and have gone from 209 to 147 (62 lbs)....and feel great. I've developed something called distorted body image....but in time they hope it gets better. They said it can happen with some people and they aren't sure why. I think you will be thrilled with your new body, confidence, and energy level. I've posted on here several times my phone number. I had a friend to go through this with, her surgery was one year before mine. So I knew what to expect. Let me know if you have any questions anyone.

Did you submit to insurance? If so, from the date they submitted to that last appointment where you met with Weiss... How long was that?

Yes I submitted to insurance and from the time approved was two more weeks before I took my 3 hour class and had my exam with Dr. Weiss the same day, then one week till my surgery. So three weeks total time from date of insurance approval.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
