February Sleevers

I'm set up for February 4th. Seems like forever away. People keep telling me, "oh don't worry". It bugs me cause I'm not worried. What seems to keep popping in my head is, am I doing the right thing.

I would like to here what others are thinking, going through.

My Doctors plan is two days preop clear liquid, not 10 like I've been reading on here. Anyone else similar?

Thanks,

Kimo

Lol made me laugh

I think it says still kinda out of it and... sire?

But I'm hoping you feel better soon (:

Sleeved yesterday (2/27)' date=' just got home and am resting. So far so good! No nausea, just a lot of pain from incisions and gas.[/quote']

I too got discharged today, and Dr. says I am doing great! I was late getting in my room last night as my blood pressure was up. I had been in a bed from check in at 11am till 10:30 - 11pm so I asked my nurse how soon I could get up and walk. She helped me up and I was off walking loops around the nurses station. To all future sleevers pay close attention to the advice about walking! As long as you can tolerate it make sure you walk, and use your breathing thing to keep your lungs strong and clear! Walking made all the different in me recovering from gas pains. My Dr. Does a leak test while in OR and so I got ice chips once in my room. Thank GOD I also had no nausea. Coughing SUCKS though and now Im just sore, and incisions are sore as well. Good luck everyone!! It's worth it, and I wish you all the very best and keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!! To all my fellow 27th sleevers WE MADE IT TO THE LOSERS BENCH!!

Don't let it get too bad! I didn't go for about 5 days and had a morning in the bathroom....well, I went, it wasn't pretty! Taking MOM everyother day if I don't go...seems Protein Shakes are rather binding! LOL

Glad to see my other 2/27 is doing well.....I am jet beginning to feel like a human being again...dr. Says I am very tight and the nausea is serious. But all in all....I know next week brings a whole new world!!!!

Had my sleeve yesterday !!!!! Had a rough night last night' date=' didn't sleep very well & was crazy nauseous & threw up this morning. Got some new meds & pumped full of fluids & feel 70% better now. Walking around, waiting on my leak test so I can have some clear liquids. Hopefully smooth sailing from here on in :) congrats to all the other 27th sleevers & prayers for today's group!!

We made it! Congrats to you too! Will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!

I was trying not to get my hopes up too high and yet I still already feel a bit disappointed. I'm 5 days post op and am still UP 2 lbs from my pre surgery weight. If I'd have lost a few pounds it would make this uncomfortable pain at least feel more worth it but instead I'm feeling a bit glum about it today. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I was sleeved on 2/19, came home on 2/21. I was shocked to find that I had gained about 10 lbs when I got home! I figure it was all the IV fluids I had received in the hospital, plus my stomach was pretty swollen. Hang in there cause now, on 2/28, I am down 12 lbs from that point! Good luck!

Thanks Ann! Today I started to feel a slight relief from the bloated pain, I hope that's a sign of things to come. I'm one week out now and a couple pounds down from my pre-op weight so that's a start. Hopefully the next week will bring great results. I am still amazed how I'm not physically hungry, only head hungry when I watch my family eat and I've only been having water and Gatorade, no broth or anything. Pretty impressed with that result.

They had me up walking last night as well. I'm determined to move around quite a bit for gas pains and for the stomach soreness. I've been nauseated a couple of times this evening but as soon as I take a sip or two of plain water it tends to go away (thinking it's caused by the anesthetic and pain meds so I plan on trying to stop those). Hoping tomorrow is a bit better!

I'm set for Feb. 26' date=' 2013. I only have a 24 hours liquid diet. I'm scared, nervous and excited. What should I be expecting the first day after surgery?[/quote']

I am also a 2/26er! How are you making out? I'm doing ok. Moving to full liquids today. Kinda exciting/kinda nervous. Hoping for less gas pain each day. Otherwise, not so bad.

Well it's been done ...got sleeved yesterday and I am discharged tomoww!!! Good luck to all feb. sleevers

Hello fellow 2/26 sleever. How are you making out? So far so good for me
