North Carolina, checking in! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi, I'm from Michigan. I had my surgery on December 19, too. How is everyone doing?

Doing great! Still learning how to stay hydrated and get all of my proteins in. Thanks to Unjury and crystal light, I can make it some days without too much effort...drinking all day with breaks in between for mushy protein like my yummy Dannon Greek Yogurt. The others are not tasty! Happy New Year! This time next year we'll be living in healthier bodies!

So, I'm Dec 18th but figured I'd drop in. I was scheduled for noon on the 18th and they kept pushing my surgery back until 6pm. Since I felt like a lifetime, it might as well been the 19th. :) As of today I have lost 15 lbs from surgery date. From what I can tell, I'm a slow loser, but honestly it's not stressing me out. I am getting 48- 64 oz of water a day and usually about 60-70 g of protein, so I think I'm doing well. My new addiction is forming though- I LIVE on this forum and a few others. It gets me through my funks.

Agreed. This site brings the sleevers community together and facilitates necessary support from all over the world with such ease. Truly grateful for VST!

Tampa Fl, anyone experiencing pain from gas or bloating, I was good until now

I had mine on the 19 & I thought I was going to die on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with all the food around me. How is your post op coming?

Good to hear from people with the same surgery date! My post op is progressing....I had an infection in one of my incisions, so that's been a bit of a drag, though it's healing. I consider it a minor complication, though I think it did make me more fatigued. Things are moving along better now :)

I have one more day, then I can add eggs and cottage chesse to my diet. I've been on full liquids since December 5....it's getting a little old, lol!

Everyone else healing and moving?

Sleeve 12/19/12 and doing great! Many life changes. More energy than in a long time. Read every label on drinks, soups etc- on full liquids now. Moving to soft foods Weds 1/19/13. Looking forward to mashed sweet potato, tuna, egg, turkey deli meat, oatmeal.

I am 4 days postop. I am having the hardest time getting in my liquids! I feel like I can actually feel the liquid trying to go down. Is this normal??

Hi there, I am Dec. 19th as well, how is everyone doing almost a month out now?
