  6. I was having that issue and turns out I developed GERD. Try over the counter omeprazole. It worked for me and I finally felt better.
  7. I work at a bariatric center of excellence hospital and none of our doctors order this test. Instead you go home with a drain for six days.

  14. You could eat in the hospital??? I could only tolerate a medicine cup of liquid.
  15. I think an EGD or scope would be able to confirm your stomach size, but I would definitely go to another dr for this to be done. I doubt your doctor wants to admit he may have messed up. So sorry you are going through this...
  16. Incentive spirometer helped me!!! I had a low grade temp and couldn't take deep breaths.

  19. I was having big problems too. I talked to a fellow sleeved and she suggested one cup of coffee in the am.....it works! I was always a coffee drinker but was scared to try after my surgery. Give it a try!!
  20. You do seem to be able to eat a larger quantity of food. I have yet to eat more than a half a packet of instant oatmeal. I can tolerate 1/4 cup of food at a time. I was sleeved Jan 4. Seems like you should be able to have some type of recourse against your doc if you find out he didn't make your sleeve small enough. You didn't go through all of this for it not to work! I know you must feel so frustrated. Maybe others that have had a similar experience can offer some advice......
  21. I don't think Sarah came across as rude but obviously got defensive with all the not so friendly replies. She was asking a question because there is not a definitive or consistent answer. To be honest, I have wondered this same question in my head and am so glad I never asked on this forum. Wondering does not make me a "lush" and in fact I rarely drink but would I like to have a glass of wine on my wedding anniversary and not have to wonder if it so OK or safe...you bet. I was just floored at the responses.
