Was sleeved on 11/14. Was doing well until a few days ago I started having this severe burning pain on my right side. It's underneath an incision but much deeper in. My incision is healing well. I told my surgeon who reassured me it was muscle. Must have lifted something to heavy or something like that. The pain is increasing by the day, even waking me several times from my sleep. It feels like a burning pain. Can hardly sit up. Anyone experienced the same symptoms? Thought maybe a hernia. Not sure what o do?

Yes! I had my surgery 11/13 and as of last Wed I started getting that pain too! I was working, taking it somewhat easy but I must have done something because it feels as if I'm being burned with a cigarette on the inside. My dic said I over did it, pulled a muscle or internal stitch but that it should go away in a couple of days. It's hard to sleep, switch sides, standing up (unless I pick my tummy up with me!)

I took yesterday and pretty much couched it all day... I feel better today, still a little burny but it's better. Just take it easy.

Also, idk if you have one but in the hospital they gave me a brace to wear. I sleep in it, and it helps.

I was sleeved on october 24 and experienced the same pain.....the only pain I had really! My doctor said that it was from the incision where he had removed the stomach and that it was normal. Its kind of like a burning feeling all the time, but would sometimes was worse than others! The doctor also said its a type of referred pain from our new healing stomachs! Ill be 6 weeks out this wednesday and that pain is gone! There is mild soreness occasionally, but now the onlg pain I feel is if I eat a bite or two too many!

I had the same pain. It totally sucked. It is the internal stitches pulling. I had it for about 2 weeks. Then one day at 5 weeks it just disppeared. It was soooo psinful but not dangerous. Ice seemed to help some

Wow my surgery was Nov 6th and I've been fine until today. All day everytime i got up i had to hold my left side. Its not even the big one where they pulled my stomach out. Its a tiny one and their all fully healed. My tiny incision aches if i push down on it on the left side. I have been going to the gym everyday and i used a machine where you swivel your body from side to side. I probably shouldn't have but i love it cuz it helps crack my back. Anyways Thx for the thread i will call my doc tomorrow.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
