How Do You Know When You're Full

Recommended Posts

So cottage cheese for dinner. I'm almost 4oz in, a half cup. And not full... When to stop?

About 45 minutes.

Is that okay?

I may be weird, but I'll get a few hiccups when I'm topped off, or start to sneeze., If I go any more I'll feel the dreaded lump in the chest. Cottage cheese is a slider with me if its on the runny side, but if dry it will let me know when I'd better stop. When on soft foods I used the 3oz paper Dixie cups to measure my food and help keep me from making myself uncomfortable. I used plastic spoons too. My wife loved it since it was the first time in our marriage I wasn't creating any dirty dishes, at all.

Yeah, I'm not full at all. Well, overly so.

Well, now I'm full. I feel as though my hunger is returning. As the days to by i am feeling it more.

This sucks. Maybe I should stay away from cottage cheese. Seems like a slider

I don't feel full until a few minutes after I'm done eating so I usually stop if it takes longer than 20 minutes. Then my fullness kicks in. With some foods I get full quicker. Cottage cheese is probably just easier on your stomach.

I just started a pureed diet and I can't eat more than 3oz. At that point I have a harder time with the food going down so I know I'm full.

Cottage cheese went down great, I am now soooo full. Like I feel extra full. Once again dinner is skipped : ( oh well. I'm trying my Protein with a half a banana tomorrow. Maybe I'll walk to the store and buy different protein? Lol who knows.

I'm 3 weeks out and asked my nut why I wasn't feeling restriction. She said it would come with a vengeance when I started solids. She was right. I'm on soft meats (flaky fish & the sort) and can get about 1 1/2 oz in.

Then I do a nice hiccup too. Then I say "and that's the sign the tank is full". Stupid & corny but oh well

In the early months I used to get a pain behind my eyes that told me to stop eating. Nine months out now and I feel full the same way I used to, just much much MUCH sooner.

You HAVE to eat slowly, because if you start wolfing something down and you haven't given it all a chance to register.... You will be in trouble. (Great pain and misery, throwing up possibly, etc)

I discovered the awful pain and vomiting of eating too fast the other day, I'm about 6 weeks out and ate some chicken too quick, normally I'm good but there was something off, felt 100% straight after I vomited

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
