Hey all! I'm new around these parts

My surgery is scheduled for January 7th and I was wondering if there are any others schedule for the big day in January 2013 ...?

I am one week from today! January 16th at 1:00 pm. I was doing great on liquid diet having just a few cups of spinach or carrots and cucumber with rice vinegar, but hit a wall today! For the first time in a week I wanted food so bad I cried!

Feeling like a failure (I ate a piece of cheese and 3 mini pretzels) I came to bed. Now so upset I can't sleep. I want this so much, why am I so freaking weak!???! Ok thanks for letting me air it out- done with pitty party and try to rest.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I slipped a few times during my 2 week diet too. You're not the only one. Just try and do your best and be as compliant as you can from now on. You can do this!!

I have surgery on the 10th and only 2 days of liquid diet. Knowing this was coming, I ate so many "last foods" in the last few days, that I feel so guilty!!! What a mental case I am!!

Don't feel bad, mine is on Wed and last night I ate a hambuger, no bun and lots of chips! I'm back on track today only shakes! Good luck

Too funny! I was so tempted yesterday. Was on full liquids but it seemed like there was temptation around every corner. Today is Clear Liquids and I don't even want to get out of bed cause I know I'm gonna be even more tempted!

Tomorrow is the day!!!! I'm ready and I will let all you later sleevers know how I am the whole way through so you won't worry when it is your turn. This is amazing. We are the lucky ones folks. do you know how many people want to be in our shoes and can't? Let's enjoy this.

I got my date today its feb 7th cant wait it was supposed to be jan 24th but since someone else at work is on vacation they wouldnt let me take it off starting to work on the ekg blood work and chest x ray next week

It is GREAT to see the people that are only one or two days ahead of me doing well. Thanks for letting us know how it went. Any wise words for us tomorrow?

Ok fellow sleevers!!!! I just got home from the hospital, my surgery Monday, jan.7th.

I was in horrible pain after surgery and all night. They have me dilauded and zofran and was still hurting so bad, but my nurse didn't giver anything else. Finally this morning the bariatric nurse practitioner came to see me and told me that it was unacceptable that I was still in pain. She have me Toradol and I felt like a new person! So my advice - ask for toradol right away!!!!

Had mine on Monday too. I'm at home now. The gas pains were awful at first now I am just hurting when I move to sitting to standing. Still taking zofran and loratab. My surgeon said sleevers have the worst nausea ever..so I am hesitant to stop the zofran. I'm sleeping a lot just because of the pain meds! Good luck!
