Period Question (Sorry, Boys!)

Recommended Posts

So, I suffer from VERY heavy periods. I was scheduled to have ablation done in December, but my last (3rd period since surgery) was NORMAL and not heavy. In fact, it was really light. Has anyone else noticed changes here? I know this could be temporary considering my body has completely changed, but does anyone have any input that is farther out than me? (only 3 1/2 months)

After my surgery my period became normal immediately. On time all the time now and a regular flow.

I used to go for months without it or would have it for three months straight (bleeding heavy every day)

Good luck

I would 100% reccomend an ablation! I have not had a period in a year! And I'm only31! It is so freeing;)

Best thing I've ever done for myself thus far ( until I'm sleeved;)

I am also considering an ablation. I have to get a four hour Iron infusion (as soon as I get home from traveling) because my periods are so heavy and I can't get the anemia under control.

I am pretty nervous about the ablation... Having kids is 99.9% not in my future, but that .01% is still in my mind. It seems silly objectively, but emotionally getting the ablation will be tough.

Sorry to chime in with my story on your thread - I don't know anybody else dealing with the constant bleeding and ablation issues!

Good luck!

The only thing that has changed about mine is the frequency has become irregular (even though I've had a tubal it still freaks me out to be late! )

I'm considering an ablation. My sister had one and she now has 2 day light, light, light periods.

I'm also very anemic and on Iron supplements so both docs (gyn & VSG surgeon) think this is a good option for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
