Welcome To Rock ... Wall

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done Rock Climbing (Indoor that is) before? It one of things on my post-op list to do. Has anyone done it since surgery. How was it? How do you prepare for rock climb? What do you wear.. shoes, pants/shorts etc.

Thanks. :)

It's on my TO DO list! :) I'm looking forward to trying it, but I'm so worried about the lack of upper body strength. Please keep us posted to share about ur climbing experience!

Not really much you need for an indoor (artificial) wall. They will have all the equipment. Just dress very comfortably, shorts & T-shirt are great. The one thing I do recommend is a pair of climbing boots. If this is going to be a one & done a pair of hard soled hiking boots are ok, even better if they have a steel shank in the sole.

A pair of fingerless gloves are nice too, but honestly the artificial surfaces aren't that rough.

Hello! I figured that I'd check back in because I went indoor climbing on Friday. I had a blast! Go for it, Coolbreeze! U will have a great time. Definitely wear clothing u can move in. I rented climbing shoes and I loved them. My friend climbed in her tennis shoes and she had a hard time. U definitely want to use a hard soled shoe. And definitely take fingerless gloves. I didn't and I needed to stop climbing because the inside of my palms hurt from working belay. I plan on doing it again. It was a great workout and my upper body was/still is sore. ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
