Gaining Weight Being Sick?

Recommended Posts

I've been so sick all week with the flu, and have gained 2 lbs back of the 96 lbs I have lost! It's made me so depressed, I cried for a while last night. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be Water weight, or simply lack of exercise while being confined to bed? Thoughts? Suggestions?

It's basically Water weight. It will come off really easy. I fluctuate by a couple pounds constantly and it always comes down. You are doing great and have a lot to go also. Get well! :)

I had the crud a few weeks ago and gained but it came off quickly after I was over it. Get better soon, I feel for you.

You have to remember there is a difference between weight gain and FAT gain. Did you gain fat? Highly doubt it.

(Generally accepted)

Consume 3,500 more calories than you burn, you gain 1 pound, burn 3,500 calories more than you consume, you lose a pound.

So ... in that period of time, do you think you consumed 7,000 more calories than you burned?

Yeah, didn't think so.

Nope, I had about 575 calories yesterday total. Good to know the logistics, I'll stop freaking out now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
