You can have Chinese food later and besides, it won't taste the way that your thinking it will taste. LOL Think of all the $$$ we are saving in not eating all the expensive foods now. :)

I know the feeling. I'm 8 months post op and I've been craving some Chinese food. For me the reason I don't have any is the sodium. I don't want to retain Water and I will. So I refrain. lol

You can do it. :)

Depending what stage your in you can have egg drop Soup. I personally don't tolerate Chinese food to well, I've had better luck with Thai food, it's less greasy and they put more veggies.

Perhaps after you reach your goals, you can treat yourself and ask the restaurant to go easy on the oil, and eliminate the salt....since they make it fresh. Don't do it now, while you are reaching your goals. It will just slow you up...and no one want that.

I, too, wish for some food...I really do, but I'm not allowed food, yet, and when I am, I have to be careful...I really want to stick to the Protein shakes and get all the weight off before eating foods.

I wonder if just a bite would fill you up, as so many people say on here, that once you eat actual food...you cannot eat as much as you can drink of a Protein shake.

You can have it when you get to the solid food stage. The liquid and puree stages don't ast long- that part will be over before you know it.

I still enjoy all my favorite foods. Everything tastes just as good for me; just TINY PORTIONS. I had a delicious 2oz Porterhouse last night and Pinot Noir too. Still losing weight well, and I've always exercised regularly. My sleeve is a dream come true. I never thought I could eat this little.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
