just trying to get back on track major track man

Hi everyone... I've been mia for sometime now. Hope everyone is where they want to be. Just want to share with you guys that I have been doing pretty well. I've been in maintaining mode for about 2 months now. I do go from 132 to 134. But I'm happy with this weight.

I just emailed my nut to see where I should be calorie wise and she suggest I should be from 1000-1200 cal.

How is everyone doing calorie wise?

I'm doing the same. Average amount 1000-1100

I weigh myself so much more now that I'm maintaining.

I've also been craving salty food alot!!!

Not sure why.

I crave salty as well as carbs. I still don't eat pasta, rice or bread I'll occasionally have crackers. I weigh myself every morning. It's hard.

I'm eating the about the same, around 1100 calories. I've lost 91lbs! Down from 235 to 144. I also have days when I crave salt!

Hi all.

I eat about 600-700 cal per day on average but I am still trying to lose weight. I have lost about 185 pounds but still want to lose about another 35.

I have hit a stall the last two weeks which I am bummed about. It is the first one I have had really.

I need to do more exercise than I am I think and mix it up. I will try that this week and see if it helps.

I hear ya..i havent lost any weight in three months and fluctuate between 194 and 196...i have thirty more pounds to go. Ive come to the conclusion i need to count calories so i started yesterday and so far so good. Oh that and i tried to give blood and i was apparently dehydrated ...i also am upping my water a ton which i hope will replace any snacking...

Hello all. Fortunately I've been maintaining but since my vacation my eating has been out of control. Haven't been on MFP in forever. I really need to get myself back on there. I am barisaxylady on there too if anyone wants to add me so we can keep each other honest. I also have a FitBit if anyone is on there and wants to add me.

Been in a stall for 3 months. Kind of depressed. Hair feeling not so great, kind of thin. And I'm crying about it. Having trouble getting in food, and of course water. Know I need more water. Just want to go to bed.

Sorry to hear things are rough for you!! I hope you have good support people to help you! Maybe seeing a dietician would help? Wishing you all the best!!

My NUT wants me eating tons of carbs. I fundamentally cannot do that. I was, emphasis on WAS, diabetic pre-surgery. A1C at 6.9. Now it's way down and I want to keep it that way. Diabetes runs rampant in my family and my dad died at 63, suddenly, from complications from uncontrolled Diabetes. I do NOT want to have the same end. And eating over 100 grams of carbs a day just seems crazy to me. Not to mention nigh unto impossible. And let's just say that those are the good ones, veggies and fruits etc....100+ grams of those kinds of carbs a day is a TON of food! My tiny tum can barely handle two eggs, much less all of that AND still get in the 60-70 g of protein AND all the stinking water I'm already not drinking.

I feel crazy when I go see my NUT and she irritates me. What works for one person, doesn't just rubber stamp onto each person across the board. Duh. Isn't this why we are here anyway? We had to get extreme to get our weightloss even moving. What makes them think that we're each going to respond the same way to the same guidelines as usual?

I'm just a bit frustrated. I think I know what I need to be doing. I HAVE to drink more. That's a given. It's just so hard. I also need to be consistent with my exercise. And that is just a matter of planning...the damn dishes, or dusting, or dogs can freaking wait until I'm done. And I have to do it before work. Because if I wait until after, I'm just stinking tired and my exercise then is more leisurely. I like to ride my bike.

OH!! I bought a BIKE!!!! Haven't ridden a bike in like 16 years and my husband has one and the kids have theirs. I wanted one. A good one. I wish I could insert a picture of it here and show you all! I love it! And I can ride it. It's true what they say, you really never do forget how to ride a bike. I'll check in my account here and see if I can post a pic of my Teal Beauty. But like I said, this is more like fun than exercise. Although I push it sometimes and then get those jello legs afterward for a bit. But it's so fun:)
