  1. I am two years post op to the day. I lost 122 pounds total but found 13 since my 1 year post op appt. I am 1 pound away from an "obeses" BMI again. (which really sucks because I am 149 at 5'5") My biggest struggle right now is the munchies. I drive 100 miles to and from work (200 miles round trip) and especially on the way home all I think about it eating. I bring healthy Snacks with me for the way home but they don't last very long. I try to give myself landmarks of when I can eat the next snack but that doesn't' work too well. I listen to talk radio for the company to try and get my mind off food, got internet radio so I can listen to comedians and all I think about is food. I do my elliptical every other night which is a struggle because I absolutely hate to exercise (topic for another thread). Need suggestions, help, support on getting rid of these munchies. I absolutely can not let myself go back from where I came. My 'skinny' clothes are already not fitting right and I refuse to go out and buy new stuff again.
  2. I'm 5'5" and usually wear a size 6 pant, medium top. I do have some size 4s and smalls. ????
  3. Plus 20 pre-op. hope the picture comes through.
  4. Today is my one year surgi-versary! Down 122 pounds and trying to maintain at 135. (Even though I would secretly like to see 129 on the scale just once!) at my 1 year post op appointment I was told I've lost 98% of my excess weight. I'll take that!
  5. It's here! Hard to believe its been 1 year already! Happy surgi-versary everyone. I am down 122 total, including pre-op. Officially trying to maintain at 135 but secretly would like to see 129 on the scale just once!

  8. I want it "all done baby! ". But the wallet has other ideas. I have to have a hernia repaired eventually so hopefully can have that and a tummy tuck at the same time!
  9. That's my biggest fear. So many people say ow proud they are of me, I tell them this was the easy part and they can be proud when I'm this weight next year!
  10. I couldn't believe when I got my first bikini wax that I had stretch marks on my mond. Didn't even consider that possible! Lol
  11. Wow, you look about 16 in the second picture,
  12. Where are you going to loose 20 lbs from? You look fabulous! Keep it up!
  13. 121 pounds down in less than a year. Working on maintenance. And I really hate except isle but I need to work on toning. This after pose really hides my floppy arms, belly and thighs.
  14. Hello all. Fortunately I've been maintaining but since my vacation my eating has been out of control. Haven't been on MFP in forever. I really need to get myself back on there. I am barisaxylady on there too if anyone wants to add me so we can keep each other honest. I also have a FitBit if anyone is on there and wants to add me.
  15. A day late again, happy 10 months!
  16. went to go find you and you found me already!
  17. I just threw your situation out to my Facebook community and they agree, you are not eating enough to support all that exercise.
  18. I think you need to eat more if you are doing all that exercise! It sounds like you may not be giving your body enough fuel to maintain that kind of workout and your body is in starvation mode. Do you use "My Fitness Pal"? When you log your exercise, you immediately get more calories to eat. It may sound strange but I really think you are not eating enough. You have to eat to loose weight. Have you spoken to your nut about it? Why don't you try the "MFP" for a week an eat more to compensate for the exercise. What do you have to loose "except the weight"! (sorry, couldn't resist) Let me know what happens. I am really curious to figure out what is going on.
  19. Ladies, are you all still getting in at least one protein shake a day? I swear, that is what makes or breaks you. My surgeons office says we should have one a day forever! Protein, protein, protein. You have to make sure you get your protein in. I slip up more than I care to admit but I always get my protein in. Plus, the exercise is so important. And this coming from the president of the "I hate to exercise" club! I do 35 minute on the elliptical every other day (for the most part). I hate it but I make myself do it. I also try and track all my food on My Fitness Pal. My name is barisaxylady on there too if you want to add me. We can do this ladies! We had MAJOR surgery! Work the tool the good surgeon gave you!
  20. Again, a day late, happy 9 month anniversary!
  21. I'm a teacher too and took two weeks. I also walked the entire state fair 4 days post op so I guess I recovered more quickly than most.
  22. I'm sitting here at my support group and they keep reminding us to follow the rules. We are 9 months out and I think most of us, myself included, are possibly getting a little over confident. I'm getting the binder that my surgeons office gave me and am going to remind myself of the rules. The people I know who are 2, 3, 4 years out and maintaining still are following the rules. I want to maintain, I don't want to be one of those who gain it back. Lets commit to each other to go back to basics and remember the rules we were given and not just be a statistic, be the success stories!
  23. Hmm. Can't remember when the daily noise stopped but I had a bite of my husbands burger last night and my stomach howled for a while over it (I've got to remember my sleeve doesn't like ground meat, it really was just a small bite to taste too!) and I'm 8 months post op but I'm sure everybody is different. As long as its not painful, I wouldn't worry about it.
  24. Happy 8 month surgiversary a day late all!
