A Canadian "NSV" Thread

Recommended Posts

I have a few pairs of size 12 jeans in my closet for inspiration. Last night I was going to a BBQ and didn't have anything to wear, so I thought I would try them on...just to see how much more till they will fit...and the ALL fit!!!! I was so excited! I havent worn a size 12 in atleast 15 years! Now I need to go shopping and get some new shirts! lol.

This thread has been quiet for a while now. We need to Celebrate more! Keep it up everyone, we are on the right path.

That is AWESOME bandiva!! What a wonderful and well deserved surprise!! I am happy for you and can't wait till I can do that too -=winks=-

Here is my NSV

This morning I starting jogging!! I was worried that I could not keep up with the girl I went with, she has been running for awhile and offered to get me started. -=huge smile=- I kept up!! It was about a 5k and we walked and jogged it. I felt great when I got home and can't wait to go again. I is nice to have company too.

And you are right this is a great thread and it needs to be kept going, not victories are on the scale!!

... my winter coat ...bought ... last February. It was a beautiful coat, it was the kind I always wanted. Full length to the ankles, black, fur collar, comfy and warm. I wore it once last year for about 15 minutes. I put it on and well.......it hung on me like a garbage bag. I could have put someone else in it with me. I was actually sad because I loved this coat, however it is a NSV.

Well Cloe, I'm just at the beginning of my journey ... what size is your coat, maybe I can give it a new home :clap2: if you live in the GTA that is:nervous

Hi everyone,

It's great to see so many successes. I've become a clothes junkie. I love shopping for clothes and shoes. I guess one obsession for another but this one I can live with. Sharing successes and set backs makes us stronger. Thanks for keeping this thread going. Even at goal we need encouragement - this lifestyle is a life long committment.

That's terrific. Happy to see that. Good luck with the food choices. I found being at work much easier than on vacation for sticking to the good foods. Have a great long weekend and see you thinner next week.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
