Pillows became my friend. Took me about three weeks to be able to sleep in any position I wanted. It's all worth it!

Slept on my side in the hospital (also sleeved on 12th). Nurses said it was ok. I do better on my side and it helps gas

Really tuck a pillow under your tummy and then try to kinda roll/lean on top of it. You don't want your belly to sag and the pillows will support and lift up your belly.

When I had my gallbladder out, I couldn't sleep on my stomach for a week. Once I could sleep on my stomach, I was uncomfortable for another two weeks even though it was doable.

With the sleeve, I slept on my stomach the same night as surgery. I think it helped relieve the gas.

I am a side sleeper and did that when I came home. I just used a pillow to support my belly.

Thanks everyone! I started sleeping on my side for the first time last night, with pillow support, and I slept through the night! That was a first since surgery on the 12th! Felt amazing :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
