Today I went for my 2nd fill. I now have 2cc in a 4cc band. The doctor is happy with my weight loss but I'm not. So lets see what this month brings me.

I finally made it thru 30 minutes on my elliptical! i can't believe it!! wel it probably tok me about 40 minutes with the stoping in between but i only got off once to hit next on my laptop. I bought The Pretender season 1 and its good to watch while i try not to think!!

i'm been debating about my restriction... i think i need more but i can't afford the fill cost since i waited to long (if u call during the week of your fill they dont charge you to come back).. i know i definitiely have been snacking more...

maybe i should try one of those food tracking sites.. hmmmm...

off to bed.

have a great bandday tomrrow!

Way to go Shirley!!!!!!!!! Great job.

Well, I rode my bike today for 30 minutes. I did it last week twice for 20 minutes and was ok, so I thought I'd go a bit longer. I will be doing this at least 3 times a week now.

I WILL BE DOING IT 3 TIMES A WEEK NOW. <this is for me) lol

Good job girls! I've been on my treadmill each night for 20-25 minutes. Some nights it's a breeze but some nights I struggle! I attribute it to my muscles being sore on those tough nights. But, I am determined...and one things for sure, whether it is an easy night or a tough night, when it is over I feel GREAT! Both physically and mentally. I think it is so great that we all are looking hard at exercise. For me, reading what y'all are doing is motivation for me to keep it going. Who would have ever thought that old Jimboss would actually be exercising (other than 12 oz curls)! And speaking of, the day I was banded I also gave up another vice. I haven't had a beer in three months. I'm actually surprised that I don't miss it. So no vices anymore. No beer, no sex, no comfort food, no tobacco....I do have popsickles though! Hey, I love you all! Stay motivated and let's be losers!

KStar I've had 2 fills and I'm not really that restricted either. I have 1.5 cc in a 4cc band...I'm going in tomorrow for another fill. I've also heard that the 10 cc band sometimes take longer to reach restriction. Keep your chin up...hopefully your second fill will help!

Good going JDru and Jimboss you help motivate me to start exercising. My son bought me a Nano Ipod and put a lot of songs on it so I can exercise to music, he said that it goes so much quicker listening to music that you don't realize your exercising, I'll believe that when I see it,:) But I'll give it a try and see if it works. KStar I have a 10cc band and my Dr. told me that alot of the times you can't tell a difference until after the third of fourth fill, I felt a little restriction after my second fill so hopefully when I get my next fill it will hit my sweet spot.

Thanks Every body. This site is for info.,motavating us, and besides a whole lotta other stuff like challanges,. I think it's about expressing your self. It's great to go on here and read all of your thoughts. From what I am reading about our October Bandsters, I'd say we are a determined, rock solid bunch., and were doin it. Even if it's slow! Were still hangin in there to do it. That's strenght in numbers, and determination.

To the people that don't have much of a fill in them. I got my first fill 12/29/06 1cc in a 4cc band. Just eanough to lock the band, so it doesn't slip when I undergo Knee surgery in February. Now it's just eanough for some restriction. He say's "Dr," as long as you arn't hungry all day it's normal.. To get hungry 4 or 5 times a day is normal just eat eanough to take the hunger away. I'm on 700 - 900 calories a day, sometimes I strugle to make 700. So count those calories, that's what's gonna make the difference... Good Job to every one "cause luck has nothin to do with this." We will continue to go foreward... Shirley:clap2:

Shirley you are a great motivator and congratulations on the size 18 jeans!! I certainly need to be making better food choices and move more. I am a little fearful of my second fill tomorrow that I haven't lost anything, or even worse gained. I hope not but can only go forward. Great job on everyone on all of the exercising!!

Hey to all my October friends. I go tomorrow for another fill if they will even give me one. Although I have been losing at a great rate, I really have never felt fully restricted, except for the first few days after both fills. I have been winging it for the most part for fear of gaining. I know that I can certainly eat more than I do, but I am so afraid of gaining and of doing harm to my band. Lately, I have had to work quite a bit harder to push myself away from the table and notice that I want to snack a little more. Of course, I guess this is where I am finding that the band is a TOOL! I am learning to make wiser food choices and that exercise will offset any little extras I may put in my mouth. It's all part of the process and I know that it is going to take hard work. Contrary to what those who don't agree with weight loss surgery believe. But, this is one journey I would not change for a moment. I appreciate everyone's input on this Thread and I feel we have all been such a support to each other. Congrats to all of us for just continuing to be apart of this group and for sharing our struggles. We are have so much in common and it is great to have this support. Wish me luck tomorrow. I really need this fill and hopefully it will be the SWEET SPOT!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
