So I started with a cough and just feeling very achy and I decided to go to the dr. because my surgery is scheduled for 9/13 and I wanted to be on the safe side and didn't want them to postpone my surgery. Turns out I have bronchitis. I am on the 5 day Z pack antibiotics. I asked the dr. if this would cause them to postpone the surgery and she said that it wouldn't. I have to get a chest xray sometime next week and I have the pre-surgery class on the 4th.

I am really hoping that is isn't going to set me back.

Drink lots of fluids, because it thins the mucous. The Z-pack, fluids, and trying for a productive cough should do the trick. Good Luck!

I feel your pain! I went to my doctor yesterday and was told I have bronchitis too (I'm 3 1/2 weeks post-op). I had 101 fever and was freaked out that I had a leak. My doctor said it wasn't related to the surgery thank goodness. My bronchitis was so bad that they gave me a Z pack and an inhaler. It is really working. I am also taking Robitussin DM. It has guifesen in it which helps you get a lot of that congestion out. Hope you feel better!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
