Recommended Posts

1 week after post-op, I feel extremely thirsty. Kinda feels like I just had a long marathon and all I want to do is to drink lots of cold fresh Water. Anyone suffer the same????

3 weeks out for me and I am the same way. I keep a bottle of Propel Zero by my bed and one in the car also!

Yep, this is normal. I wanted to jump in a swimming pool to quench the thirst! Just keep sipping and in a few more weeks you'll be able to drink a more normal sized portion of liquid.< /p>

Oh I know, the first few weeks were so hard. I was constantly thirsty but it hurt so much to drink. Have faith, it WILL get better!

It took me almost a full six weeks to get rid of my constant cottonmouth. Never be far away from your Water bottle. Not so unbearable now (2.5 months out) but I still keep my bottle with me everywhere I go. I remember several times, I woke up more than 2xs a night because my thirst was painful.

It gets better, I promise.

Yes I did started about 1 week out. The only thing I wanted was ice Water. And I hate ice. It was the only thing that tasted good. I'm 6 weeks out and don't crave ice water like I did, but still think it is the best tasting drink.

I feel the same way, l like I know im thirsty but it takes me hours to drink a cup, and it seems impossible! My friend told me he was told to have a sip every 5 minutes. Maybe that will help because every time I try to drink I gulp, pain and stop for an hour.

I hold it in the back of my throat with my head back then swallow making sure not to get any air and that has worked. I am 5 days out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
