Height X Weight = Bmi

Recommended Posts

I'm starting the process about being qualified. My Ins. Requires BMI of 35+ comorbidies in which I have 3!

Now when I use the BMI calculator I guess I'm about 5'7" and 215 which puts me around 34.8 I'm in the ballpark. I guess I can go on a eating binge and put me over the edge. Or I can say I'm 5'6". At one point does someone actually measure how tall you are? And do they make you weigh in shoes?

They measured my height on the very first visit and made me take off my shoes before I got on the scale. Some do let you keep your shoes on so I guess it just depends on the individual...

You may want to find out if the BMI has to be at the first appt or right before surgery. Many drs make you loose 5% prior to surgery which can put you under again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
