Getting Vsg At 22

How are you feeling? I know what you mean about the water! I love my Water and I hate the idea of not being able to gulp it down! Oh well, I would much rather be a sipper and be thin!

I have that same problem. Sometimes, I wake up so thirsty that I grab my bottle of Water and just take a large gulp and swallow, then realize my oopsies a little late. At this point so early post-op, I'm still realizing my limits and learning to form new habits. Please tell me I'm not alone! <3

Definitely not alone. Took someone's advice of using a straw to help get in my Water. Using it with small sips and seems to be helping a lot. Just remember the small sips part. Must say I am a little light headed today, hoping its nothing abnormal.

My surgeon gave me little shot cups they are 1 oz each she told me to drink it every 15 min. That way I get 4 oz an hour. For the past few days I would have to sip it like 4 times now I can take

It in 2 sips

We aren't supposed to use straws so close out of surgery.... I would stop.... My surgeon also gave me those cups but if you have like a 1/2 cup measuring cup, I would use that instead

Hi guys! im 24, sleeveless at the moment! will hopefully have mine before xmas fingers crossed!

All of you that have had the sleeve... I know this might sound strange but what are your bodies like? Have you found you are a lot more confident now?! Other than weight loss what else has changed?

Would like to hear some stories from people!! Xx

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
