Isobella got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Will I Ever Be Able To Chug Water Again?
If there's one recurring theme on these forums, it's that everyone is so different post-op. I am 3 weeks post-op exactly and I can take significantly larger gulps. 2 weeks ago, I remember feeling how you feel-- it was frustrating! I just wanted to be not so damn thirsty anymore lol. The gulps I can take now aren't 'chugs', but it's enough to satiate that icky thirst drive.
Be careful though. One girl in my support group was chugging her fluids because she felt 'fine' at 2 weeks post-op and she ended up with a leak.
    Best of luck!

    Congrats on the weight loss!
But dressing in the old stuff has got to stop. Im sure you have seen people wear clothing that is WAY too tight (showed belly overflow, too much boobage, etc) and silently thought they looked rediculus right? You dressing in your old big clothes is just as insane- not to be terrible.... but im sure you look like crap all bagged out!
Letting go of your old image is hard- its a huge mental challenge and may take some time- sounds like there are a few underlying self esteem issues (issues- who doesnt have em) that you may need to talk to someone about.
Dont let who you USED to be- stop you from becoming who you are.
As a fellow professional- you arent doing yourself any favors looking schlumpy and frumpy. Even if it means hitting up Target for those essentials (pencil skirts, dress pants, wide belts, etc) do whatever you can to dress your best... slowly your head will catch up.
Hiring a stylist is a great idea- watching TLC's What Not To Wear is also a great idea. Now go on and rock the results of your sleeve and be your best self!

I was asking those same exact questions just one week ago! I was sleeved just this last Wednesday August 8. Like someone said above me, my first three to four days were hellish. I say hellish simply because of the frustration of being in normal post-op pain. (I had weird pains radiate from my diaphragm to between my shoulder blades every time I tried to sip even the smallest amount of Water.) I'm still surprised I'm never hungry. Now that the swelling has started going down in my new sleeve, it's beginning to feel almost normal, except that I'm just never hungry, and I haven't eaten a solid for 3 weeks now (unheard of for me!).
Just my two cents . Be excited!!!

I want to be healthier, I want to get rid of my stupid C-pap for sleep apnea, I want to walk up and downstairs without it hurting my back and ankles.I want my BP to go back down where it should be. I want all of that and more.... The more being I want to look SMOKIN HOT again !!! I am not gonna say it is for health reasons only bc that would be a big fat lie. I want to feel good about myself when I look in the mirror and not be deluded...

Mine was 2 weeks, I lost 15 pounds. Day 1-3 felt like I was going through drug withdrawal. One of the earlier days, I weighed myself, went to pee, then weighed myself again out of curiosity and I was 4 pounds lighter. I had to double check it! Sigh. lol. I'll take my losses where I can get them though.
    Good luck!!

Hahah, so you know how blunt pilipinos are lol. We're supposed to be these short, compact little people, but I grew up in the US. I'm full fledged Filipino. Glad to meet someone else from close to home !

I can't wait for my mother to stop saying " you just hab to hab a self control" she says it just like that too she's a Crazy Asian Lady lol.... Really though it is especially annoying because my mom is one of those people who eats tons knows nothing about dieting and weighs 108 pounds soaking wet.... I obviously inherited my metabolism from my father.
