On August 19, 2011 I went in for my consultation with my surgeon. I weighed 319 lbs. I don't let people know that number. Even my husband doesn't know. I had to complete a 6 month medically supervised diet. I lost 33 lbs. I had my surgery on January 27, 2012. I celebrated my 6 month surgiversary last week and I'm 2.5 weeks from 1 year from my consult.

This morning I got on the scale and it read 219.0.

100 lbs gone! I lost 33 lbs pre-op and I've lost 67 lbs since surgery. In this last 6 months and 1 week, I've had 2 month long stalls where I vacillated between the same 2 lbs for 4 weeks. I'm a slower loser than some, but it's not a sprint, it's a marathon.

Now onto my next 20 so I can be below 200 lbs. I've GOT this!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
