my dr. told me I could anything I wanted but, to keep in mind that Protein was very important because the body needs it so, I would be wise to follow a high protein diet and also, some things you eat might give you diarrhia so keep an eye on your intake and how your body reacts to it. Dont ignore the protein and/or your vitamins...at first I started losing a lot of hair due to lack of protein because I was not getting enough.. best of luck to you

being able to drink more than sips is great - but you are early WLS - so don't gulp yet - at a later point you can drink faster.

i think many people can take more than sips - i know i could ;)

if you are feeling full at the proper time during your eating - great, stop when you are full - than stop one bite earlier :D my drs. joke

sounds like you are doing fine - you are doing things properly

keep up the good work

You are not alone. I am 17 days. Post-op. I can eat just about anything can chew into a paste. Spicy food, beef, pork, sashimi, you name it. Some of us have a lot less drama than others.

Yep. Another vote for completely normal. I'm now almost 8 weeks out and have been able to gulp Water since early on. My sleeve also let's me eat pretty much anything I want so long as I don't overdo it. There are some things I haven't had yet though but so far so good for everything I've tried.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
