I too started to gain after my first child 20 years ago and am done with the suffering and ready for the new freedom - knowing my faith is not in the power of man but God who is with us- the surgeons and He has provided this tool to set us free!

Hello to you congrats I hope your mind will allow your spirit to shine through for a safe happy and blessed surgery!!

My surgary date is August 1st. On day 6 of clear liquid diet. It's tough no doubt, but I'm a stubborn, bullheaded Irish woman and this will not defeat me, I will defeat it and become healthier for it. Let's do this everyone!!!!!

I must say....I really like your name....I fits with what we're all about to go thru.....there will be lots of peeks and valleys on this road...but I hope we can remember to laugh thru some of the lows. God willing they won't last always. I'll keep you in my prayers....looks like you and Umi will be leading the parade of AUGUST SLEEVERS!!!!!

Hey Sleevers!

I have 2 more days to go before surgery and I feel the butterflies in my stomach.... Congrats to all that are coming up on that big date! We will do well and be a success! (have to keep telling myself that) And my son has the AUDACITY to be sitting in front of me chomping down on some hot dogs & Bush's vegetarian beans..... :angry:I can say this though...I DON'T WANT ANY!!!! (didn't think I'd feel that way about food lol) Anyhoo, say a prayer for me and I will do the same!

I'm scheduled for August 1st. But I'm nervous because on Friday I was told I have bronchitis!! I'm on antibiotics and will be done with the z pack the day before surgery. I'm flipping out but praying all will be fine come Wednesday.

I hope it all works out for you. I'll keep you in my prayers.

August 6th here!! 11 days before my 44th birthday. Happy Birthday to me, right?!?! I'm a band to sleeve revision and just really ready to be on the other side of this. Let the journey being.

BTW, I am in Southern CA and will be getting sleeved by Dr. Braverman of the NEW Program. I adore him and am really glad that I found him. He's got a great bed side manner which helps take a bit of the edge off from the nerves.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
