Umi got a reaction from Tipintx in It's About To Go Down!Hey everyone! Surgery was a success! I went in at 360lbs around 5:45PM. I finally got to my room about 10:35pm and was greeted by my entire family. Dr. Beekley was a few minutes behind me and made sure I was ok. He told me when they were about to transfer me from the operating table to the stretcher, I said to them, "I got it! Let me do it." and moved myself lol....I don't remember a thing but it sure sounds like something I would do. Overall, I am more sore than anything. Walking around helps TREMENDOUSLY!!!! I am sip, sip, sipping and have not had any problems keeping anything down. All smiles over here! Now the REAL work begins!

Umi got a reaction from tybeeanna in It's About To Go Down!Alrighty then! TODAY'S THE BIG DAY!!!!! I have to be at the hospital at 11:30 and I am NERVOUS! It seems like this day snuck up on me like POW! I am grateful that my run with the liquid diet was pretty easy. I want to thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement and support. I will post when I get to my room and get settled.

Umi reacted to lglavish in What Was It Like The First Day After Sleeve?Well I made it- surgery went well but the first part of recovery was rough. It hurt to breath and I felt like I couldn't catch my breath. They gave me some iv valium and brought my anxiety level way down which helped a lot. I stayed 24 hours and came home this morning. Have moderate pain but the pain meds are keeping up with it. I didn't have any nausea at all- none, zip, nada- which surprised everyone. Going back to sleep for awhile.
