Hey everyone!!!! I haven't been on in a while but I'm doing great!! i went for my post-op appointment this morning and I LOST 38.2 POUNDS SINCE SURGERY!!!!!Words cannot express how elated I am. My incisions are healed and I am no longer on blood pressure medication and my sugar is normal!!!! I didn't expect things to happen so fast...I'm smiling and crying tears of joy :D

I didn't get nervous until early morning of my surgery (weirdo lol) but just try to focus on the good that having this surgery will do. that's what a friend recommended to me and it worked for me. Hey everyone! Surgery was a success! I went in at 360lbs around 5:45PM. I finally got to my room about 10:35pm and was greeted by my entire family. Dr. Beekley was a few minutes behind me and made sure I was ok. He told me when they were about to transfer me from the operating table to the stretcher, I said to them, "I got it! Let me do it." and moved myself lol....I don't remember a thing but it sure sounds like something I would do. Overall, I am more sore than anything. Walking around helps TREMENDOUSLY!!!! I am sip, sip, sipping and have not had any problems keeping anything down. All smiles over here! Now the REAL work begins!

Today's the day! I have to be at the hospital at 11:30. I am very nervous and couldn't sleep a wink.

Alrighty then! TODAY'S THE BIG DAY!!!!! I have to be at the hospital at 11:30 and I am NERVOUS! It seems like this day snuck up on me like POW! I am grateful that my run with the liquid diet was pretty easy. I want to thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement and support. I will post when I get to my room and get settled.

I'm having surgery today to Aminah! Congrats and I will keep you in my duas. Make sure you check in with us when you feel up to it.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!!! TODAY'S THE DAY!!!!! I am anxious and now nervous. I have to be at the hospital at 11:30. Bags are packed and I'm ready to go! My mother, sister, and 2 oldest children are going to be there for support. i have been up all ***ht trying to keep my mind clear and not have an anxiety attack. Sending up prayers for all of us that are up for surgery today!!!! Congrats and I will post once I get in my room.

Thanks everyone! I am not feeling the jitters yet so I am grateful. I will probably start bouncing off the walls tomorrow lol. I will definitely keep you all posted and you do the same. Keep pushin' we're almost there!

Me too! We only have a couple more days! Are you nervous? I am anxious....the nerves have not kicked in yet. I guess I will feel it tomorrow.

I want to give you all a (((((((HUG))))))) and tell you I'm cheering you on!!!! This is a big step and a new start for all of us and I know you will do great! Your encouragement really does help lower my anxiety. I am so nervous! 2 DAYS!!! CHEERS (with a nice glass of water or a mug of broth lol) and congrats!

Thanks for the encouraging words and advice everyone! I am 2 days away from my surgery (Aug. 2nd) and I am SO NERVOUS! I needed to hear all of this, y'all....and shout out to LilMissDiva for such an incredible list of Do's & Don'ts!!!! I am about to make little reminders to put around the house!

Hey Sleevers! I have 2 more days to go before surgery and I feel the butterflies in my stomach.... Congrats to all that are coming up on that big date! We will do well and be a success! (have to keep telling myself that) And my son has the AUDACITY to be sitting in front of me chomping down on some hot dogs & Bush's vegetarian beans..... I can say this though...I DON'T WANT ANY!!!! (didn't think I'd feel that way about food lol) Anyhoo, say a prayer for me and I will do the same!
