this is for everyone that has already been sleeved , we all are on some kind of carb restrictions but i was wondering how are you keeping carbs low if fruit has so many of them i see so many ppl say they only do about 20-80 carbs, a orange has 25 does this mean you dont eat fruit ?

Fruits are good but go online and look for glycemic index chart. The fruits on that are lower on the index chart ate better for you. It helped me a lot.

I wasn't on any specific carb restrictions beyond the general avoidance of simple carbs and things that otherwise qualify as junk foods. Most of the fruit that I had during my loss phase were of the low glycemic index type - Tomato and avocado in my salads and an ounce or so of raspberries in my greek yogurt. I tried a bite or two of banana when my wife was having one but they didn't sit well with me at that time - seemed to be a similar sugar rush as piece of straight chocolate. I tended toward more complex carbs when possible - more fibrous veg and whole grains.

Oranges are super high in sugar so I only eat them once in a great while. I had 1/3 cup of pineapple and 5 larger Rainer cherries today for a total of 11 grams of carbs from fruit. Not so bad eh? Totally doable.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
