chunkychic30 reacted to tonibugg in NsvMy husband still has a relationship with his family but barely so, we are def closer to my family. I just chalk it up to them being jealous. Jealous of the relationship with my family, they think that we don't struggle like they do with finances (we just suck it up and do instead of cry about it!), and they have made comments about us thinking we are better than them. All assumptions and all very hurtful. We do have a better relationship with my parents but only because of the way his treats us! I also think it's their loss!
So here's to us! To our new journey of rediscovering ourselves and learning new things along the way =) Whoever is left behind is their loss!!

chunkychic30 got a reaction from Celaine47 in Post Surgery Weight Loss Resultsi think i would disagree . sorry. i started with a high bmi well still am but since surgery i have lost 30 pounds that was 3 months ago. So in my case no i am not loosing faster, And i have a freind who bmi was lower than mine alot and lost 50 the first 3 months. I think it just varies from person to person. only one fact is correct and thats it the weight will come off some faster than other.

chunkychic30 reacted to karen74 in Funny... But I Freaked Out!So I woke up and weighed my self... " gain of 4 pounds" what the heck i say. Im doing everything right. Grabbed my swimsuit and gym clothes. Did the treadmill, swam some laps, and did some tricep exercises that my boyfriend taught me. Got back to my apartment dried off weighed again. "Wth... gain two more pounds" ok... think to myself my hair is long and wet.... thats two pounds. Drank protein and water and did stationary bike. Weighed self.... gained 5 more pounds. Cried self to sleep. Got up repeated gym, pool, bike... weighed self.... gained 25 pounds! Then the batteries died on my scale. Lol. Lesson learned.... bad batteries equal non accurate scale!

chunkychic30 reacted to LauraTarry in Having A Weak Moment! Pull Me Back!Oh my word! Firstly just let me say that I LOVE your screen name!!! LOL I don't know if you like Adam Sandler, but he used to do a character named Fatty MaGee! And I always joke that that how I feel, or who I am! It made me crack up to see your name. I have friends that started to do the plant based diet. They have three little kids and they're doing great! I have a pretty nice sized garden, so I try to eat a lot of fresh veggies. My husband and kids would NOT go for a plant based diet, ever! I can hear it now! My 3yr old is pretty good about veggies, the 4yr old is NOT! If its green, he's not eating it, unless its jello! When I decided to do the sleeve almost everyone was helpful and supportive, at least to my face! Anyway I have one friend who was like, "you're going to have to change everything about how you live and eat, so why not just do that!" And I'm like, well hell if I could "just do that" I would be a size two and walking around naked all the time! lol, j/k! But seriously, it ain't that easy, at least not for me! I'm having VSG surgery on July 10th. I cannot wait to be on the "losers bench" as they say! Hope you are well. Take care!!

chunkychic30 reacted to Bedhead in Struggling With FoodPreop I ate like I was never going to eat again- I know that most people wouldn't agree, but I'm glad I did! I didn't go overboard, I even managed to lose a few lbs- but I spent many evenings at the Olive Garden or the drive thru for taco bell and McD's. I'm not advocating eating horribly, but I don't regret it for a second.
