After surgery its very common to have the problem of lots of gas. It might take a little while to get rid of the problem,

walk, walk walk, and then walk somemore

this should resolve your gas problem

you just had major surgery, take it slow and easy, walking is good for all Newbies - not to mention walking is good for all of us.

take care

good luck

Walk, walk, walk and when you're done walking...walk. I'm six days post op and my husband was a task master making me walk and I really believe it was the best thing for minimizing and taking away the pain when it came. I also used a heating pad behind my shoulder when it was really bad. I don't think there is really anything you can take to address the surgical gas you have. They pump us full of gas and it has to work its way out. Hope you are feeling better soon! :)

walk walk walk walk. I walked at Walmart so I had a buggy to hang on to. Usually after about 15 min, I was

worn out and had to sit but it did help. Also heating pad works wonders !

I had no gas pains whatsoever but I made myself walk as much as I could. I was up and walking as soon as they got me back to my room after surgery.

walk walk walk, gas strips, dont forget to GENTLY burp if possible...

walk, walk, walk, ...

Feel better soon! Good luck.

PS - the gas migrating can make you inflamed, so if you are ok'd a bit of ibuprophin could ease some of it, but it doesnt work for everyone.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
