  1. Have oxford and I'd like a tummy tuck. Was thinking of going to Mexico to do it next yr if insurance won't cover so that its cheaper.had surgery in July 17th. Started at 235.. now down to 213.. goal is 140.
  2. I have not done well with the diet at all and I'm thinking I am probably stretching my sleeve. Now I'm at 213 from 235 since July 17th DOS .. sounds like many of u r in a similar range. I did liquid for 2 days post op then purer for about 2 days and totally skipped to soft foods after that. Now I'm eating regular food in really small portions b.c that's all that can fit. Today I had hot wings, but only two b.c i got too full. I need therapy I think. Smh
  3. Jaymzee.. which insurance do u have?
  4. I'm a smoker.. my doctor asked only two weeks, not two months.. but in honesty I never did quit, but said I did and they didn't check. I planned to quit post op, but ofcourse I tricked myself into thinking smoking would help with the gas pains.. anyway.. I've only been able to quit three times in life. My first n second pregnancy and once when I took a smoking cessation aide which was wellbutrin. Wellbutrin really works honestly, but the pills r too big to take post op.. but for your pre op purposes, I say ask your pcp for a prescription.
  5. I was just wondering how much weight have you lost? I'm almost down 20 pounds and I feel like I'm going slow. I started at 235 now I'm at 217. I started to do some stomach crunches 2 days ago. I try to do at least 35 crunches each night.
  6.    Ramona1019 reacted to a post in a topic: Dating With My Sleeve ;)
  7. I lost 8 pounds 1 week post op. Getting tired of soup and puree. What to eat?
  8. I'm not dating, but i feel like this surgery is such a private thing, that I wouldn't disclose that i had thus surgery especially on a first date. I would encourage u to order and eat slowly and whatever u can. Order an appetizers or the lunch portion so its smaller. Whatever u don't finish, take home with u. I used to take doggie bags home with me even prior to surgery so its not a huge deal. Best of luck to u
  9. Who's going to watch your baby when u have surgery? I was sleeved July 17th and I have a 31 month old and an 11 month old. My 31 month old is extremly active, so it was difficult the first few days. They tell u that u can't lift anything over 20 pounds.. so I couldn't lift them. My 31 month old is Potty trained, so wasn't a big issue, but I needed to lift the 11 month old to change his pamper. I'm lucky b.c he can already walk so it wasn't too bad.
  10. My last meal night before surgery was tacos..
  11. Tums are chewable so u can take that. The paper from my doctor suggests Tums for the calcium benefits too.
  12. Sleeved July 17th and I'm still hungry.. I think of food very often. What's wrong with me? Is there any medication or dietary supplement anyone can reccomend? I am screwing up so badly. Help!
  13. I had my sleeve July 17th... My body is only sore at one of the incision marks.. I can actually lay in my stomach and be overall comfortable. Still have some gas, but I have been doing poorly with the diet. Unlike u, I feel hungry. It's so frustrating b.c I want food. Im scared I won't be successful in losing weight at all. I started at 235lbs and went down to 233lbs by the time i left hospital. I try to eat things and i know its wrong. I feel sad for myself b.c u can still tolerate food. This is way harder than I anticipated.
  14. I know just what u mean.. I'm only four days post op and i feel tired if this. I guess its kinda normal. It's like u go through so much crap pre op then wait for approval you get sliced n diced.. u wake up, Ure groggy from anesthesia, u look down u see stupid scars, they feed u ice and a bunch of clear liquids and then reality hits... And then you're on your own!
  15. I'd like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.. can i have this, I wonder? When can the stomach tolerate bread?
  16. Thanks everyone for these great suggestions.. I thought I was going a little crazy. I will try all .. u guys r great!
