Everyone is so different & loses at different rates. Most people I've seen on here based on their signatures, lose anywhere from 10 - 30 lbs the first month depending on how much they have to lose & such. People who are more overweight generally lose more than those who have less to lose, but even that isn't always true. There are too many factors that go into each of us losing. It's important not to compare yourself to others & also to take measurements & not just weight. Sometimes the scale won't move, but the inches will. It's important to rejoice in your own journey and not focus on comparing to others though.

Personally, I lost 12.6 lbs in my 2-week pre-op diet and 18 lbs my first month after surgery. I'm 5'8.5" & started with about 130 lbs to lose. Again, we're all so different though that even if two people are the same height and weight, they'll lose at different rates.

I lost 14.2 during my 2 week preop diet. During my first month postop I lost 21.6. I'm five weeks out today and have lost a total of 40 pounds.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
