For me it is because I'm not hungry whatsoever. I actually have to FORCE myself to drink my liquids. I thank God I'm not hungry anymore! hahaha good luck!

Same here! I am 7 weeks post op and NEVER hungry. The liquids are more tolerable post op because you don't feel like eating. However...it is hard to get them all in sometimes. Try your best and your recovery will be that much faster.

I had the same question. Thanks. I am 5 days on liquid now. It is hard but each day is closer to the surgery which I am hoping will be better after rather than the battle I have now with my hunger hormone.

For me, the liquid postop diet wasn't easier. Yes, I had trouble getting my liquids like others but in but my head I wanted to chew real food. I was never so glad when that 3 weeks was over.

It is way easier because you are not hungry. Well, speaking for myself anyway.

Eating food is a chore now. I still get what I need from Protein Drinks, with small bits of food here and there during the day. I'm not really hungry.

I agree Wolfgirl. Eating after the sleeve takes all the enjoyment out of it. It takes forever, I can only eat an ounce or two, and everything gets cold. Plus, nothing tastes the same anymore. This is a good thing, but it is a strange feeling...especially considering I was a food addict before this surgery. I supplement with a Protein Shake or two on the days I just don't feel like eating.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
