I was sleeved on 6-26-12. The first couple days I was miserable!! Wondering what in the world had I done to myself!! But day by day it has gotten better & am so thankful for that!! I came home from the hospital 11lbs heavier from all the fluids. As of today I have lost all 11lbs of Fluid + 10lbs!! I am so ready to eat something "solid" but more excited to see the weight actually come off!! I have a long way to go but hey it's a start!! :)

Tumblersmom

hi there

glad you are feeling better and realizing that WLS was not done in vein.

before you know it things will continue to "go downhill"

going through all your different food stages you will eventually get to eat solids in a year or two.

Gotcha :D solids wll come in a few weeks, promise. :)

keep on keepin on

best on your recovery

kathy

I was sleeved 6/29 and thought I was alone in my "almost regretting" stage LOL! I am ready for something to eat though. Not hungry but miss chewing my food....

I was sleeved on June 27th so tomorrow marks a week for me! I am starting to feel much better as I also thought omg what did i do. I can't wait to start eating small amounts of food again! I miss food so much and to smell it around the house is killing me. All this liquid drinking will payoff soon enough i keep telling myself.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
