One thing we can all agree as adults is that we are all entitled to our opinions, so who wants to be judgmental can do that, and who wants to call those ppl judgemental can do that and those who doesn't care either way and feels like we need to get over ourselves is prob right. Lol.

Lol...you seem pretty worked up as if I called you judgmental personally. And totally disagree that judgmental is synanomous with something that one doesn't want to hear. If you read my post closely, I said there are things that needs to be said, unfortunately some people lack the ability to do so constructively without coming off as judgmental. Also, comparing your child getting a speeding ticket to us dealing with our transitions post sleeve just seems a bit ridiculous. You can speak to your child however you please because that's your child. But when your speaking to another adult, choose what you say wisely. Forgive me that I'm worried about the emotional aspect of judging and criticizing someone for making a mistake as well as the physical consequences from those mistakes. As I said, for the most part, people are supportive on here, and for that I'm thankful.

No one is perfect and I agree that sometimes the tone of some can come across as judgmental.
Life post sleeve isn't easy for everyone. I know there things that should be said, but it's just how you say it. Some of us had a harder time transitioning than others. I dont want to risk saying something that would make anyone feel worst than they probably already do.
This site has been mostly about support and encouragement for me and that's what I like about it.
I know that we can all do this, let's keep our eyes on the prize. Best wishes to you all.

No need to make someone who struggles feel even more ashamed than they already are. Its one think to give advice and another to judge. just because it was so easy for you to follow doesn't mean it is for everyone else. I was eating things I shouldn't on my liquid diet and I don't feel guilty. Your body will tell you what you need to know when you eat something you're not suppose to and you will go through the discomforts and learn what you can and cannot eat. I recommend staying with your diet and not cheat but I bet we are not the only ones who have cheated. Not many people will admit when they have cheated. But reading some of theses responses tick me off cuz it always turns in to omg I can't believe you would risk your life or omg you need counseling. Just cuz you had the sleeve does not make you an expert! Just sayin!

Mishy, is that the only thing you've had that you shouldn't other than the soup? The cake and ice cream is not going to damage your sleeve. I think some of the responses to your post are alarmist. Obviously, its not good to go for that so soon after your surgery, but you are probably in the same state I was at that point where you are feeling a little depressed and resentful of what you have done to your body. You just need to follow the post op diet to a T, especially the liquid part. If YOU feel that you need counseling then by all means, call your Dr and see what they have to say. I found that the best thing for me was to drink my shake with my family and then when I was done, take a little walk while they were finishing up. I ate a french fry less than 2 weeks after surgery, just because everyone else had them. It didnt kill me, but I didnt feel so well afterwards. You just need to take care of yourself right now. Good luck to you

To get the best results my nutritionist advised me to stay away from carbs/starch. No potatoes, rice, pastas and she was ok with beans. I know I'm not gonna go the rest of my life not eating any starch, however I'm definitely staying away until I reach my goal weight then occasionally have starches.
