Doing What I Am Suppose To

Recommended Posts

Hey let me out of the hospital early because I did everything I was suppose to. I was up an walking 7 hours after surgery. If I wasn't sleeping I was walking and if I wasn't walking I was sleeping. I have been out of the hospital for three days now, my surgery was four days ago. I do feel like I am getting better. Pain has gone down a little bit. Also I am able to eat and drink a lot better. By that I mean I don't feel like it is getting stuck every two seconds. I eat when I am suppose to and I drink a lot of Water. I am still on the liquids diet though. It's not as bad as it sounds. Lots of fluids though. I had to start the Protein yesturday though because my hair is already starting to fall out. No big deal. Just wanted to give you all an update.

Congrats on your progress! Sounds like you're doing everything just the way you should. It's always good to hear someone is tolerating the first week after surgery so well. Keep us posted, and let us know your results after your weigh in at the doc's!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
