I am 3 1/2 wks out and have lost 18 lbs. I haven't lost anymore weight in the past 1 1/2 wks and am feeling very frustrated. Is this a good weight to have lost or do most people lose more by now? I am getting upset thinking that somehow I have messed up.

If you search on this site for "stall" you will see you are in the same boat as everyone else is or once was. The "3rd week stall". Though mine came 4 weeks and your's 2. Don't worry. Get your liquid in. Protein first. Walk. After that, just let your sleeve do the work. The scale will move. Though you should just put it away for a while. Weight means nothing right now. It's the inches lost you'll notice and make you feel so great

I want to say that I have not hit a stall and I am working on my second month post-op. I complete change my life to help me with this issue. I bought some measuring cup and spoon the fold and I carry then with me. I eat at the resturant and I ask for a empty plate and measure my food. I also make a menu to keep me on track. I also walk alot every day. I am waiting for the doctor to ok the gym for more exercise. If you hit a still then change up your routine. Try eating less and eat your Protein first. When you walk try going up and some steps, like a three step stoop. The change will help. Remember you body needs a change. Good Luck and hope you back the stall

Don't think of it as a stall it is your body catching up with your brain.

Everyone has the three week stall... or almost. :) It's normal for our body to say "Hey, wait a minute here!" and take a break from losing... and it doesn't only happen at 3 weeks. I've had a couple of stalls in 9 months, and one spot where my weight loss was incredibly slow. BUT, and it's a big But, during the stalls is when I've lost inches and sizes. I walked out of my pants during my first stall, and I've watched my body reshape itself literally during the last 3 months of super slow weight loss (compared to weight lost at the beginning). Just this morning I noticed that my tummy has changed shape completely in the last few weeks.

Keep to your plan during the stalls. Eat your Protein and drink your Water. Change up your exercise and either add or remove something. I changed from the recumbent bike to the elliptical and I'm going to add in the arc (killer elliptical) in a few days, just for some variety. Most importantly, ditch that lying scale from your brain. Take your measurements and then re-take them when you feel like you're stalled. Watch the inches come off your body and enjoy living this new life and journey that we're all taking.

Good luck! I know you're going to do fine!

Search "3 week stall." You don't even need to do it here, generic Google should give you all the info you need.

Here's the flip side.

I've been stalled 9 weeks, out of the 12 I've been sleeved.

No matter how bad you feel about your 10 days, it's completely normal and it could absolutely be worse.

I'm in the 3 wk stall too. Its so hard to go through all we have, eat so little, & then not see the results of our efforts on the scale. I didn't weigh today, going to pick up a tape measure tomorrow. My head knows to relax, heal, & let it happen, but dang hard anyway.

I had my sleeve on may 15th and have not lost any weight since June 3rd! So 10 days stall so far. I've been told this is normal, then June 11 I got sick and was in the hospital( still am) and gained 3 kg! So 6.6 pounds! How is that possible?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
