Starting to really wonder what is going on. I am stuck at 288lbs for 2wks. I am beginning to feel like a failure. I was having a very difficult time with liquids and 60 grams of Protein daily. Tried to get back on track over past week but the scale will not move. Not exercising everyday but try at least every other day. I have been off work for 5 wks and really feel embarrassed that I have not lost more weight. I feel I have lost some inches but not sure how many. Clothes are by no means falling off. I try to eat protein first and I eat out of a measuring cup. I am drinking out of measuring cup also.

can I tell you a secret? I havent even started to do any exercise yet.Shame on me I know. But maybe you are not getting even Protein and as someone said on a different thread,if you dont eat enough your body goes into starvation mode and will not release any excess body weight as it is storing it.as a survival tatic,so getting your protein and liquids is very important.AlsoI know its hard, but dont weigh yourself everyday,it can be very depressing, and it also causes stress

Can I ask why you are off work?laid off, vacation etc?Could it be causing you stress?

It will pass you will start losing again

just make sure you really try to get all your protein and liquids in

I was having complications adjusting to the sleeve. First extremely high blood pressure, then acid reflux and heartburn. Did not want to return to work having to run to the restroom every 10 minutes. So i decided to do it at home.

I had a stall last week. I stayed at the same weight for 2 weeks and i thought my sleeve stopped working. Just try to be persistant in excersize or walking and you will see a change. I lost inches also. I just had to tell myself to enjoy the journey because this time next year you will not look or feel the same. I was sleeved April 17th. if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to contact me.

Glad to kno I'm not alone. I am really trying to find a Protein shake that I can tolerate. And as for exercise i plan on starting to walk soon. This weather here in New York, has been awful with all this rain. Hopefully by Monday things should clear up

Don't be embarrassed!

Stalls are a normal part of this jouney and one about 2-3 weeks out hits most people. Here is a short article that explains it well:

It sounds like you are in a stall! It happens to everyone, at any point during our journeys! The last two months I've only lost one week out of the 8... it sucks big time but it happens. Focus on the fact that you are losing inches! That is great. I think sometimes our body just puts the brakes on for awhile as a way of saying "whoooaaaa, what are you doing to me!! I need time to process!". Just keep doing what you are doing and focus on the long term. Before you know it, it will pass and you be on your journey again.

Good luck :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
