I forgot to ask, is anyone else having runny stools all day long. Obviously, I don't have the Constipation problem, it seem to be the opposite, since I got out of bed yesterday. Anyone else??

Yes - this is my issue - stomach is gurgling and gurgline nonstop - then the runny bms. Pain meds are suposed to cause constipation so I don't think that is it - not sure what is causing it - just all the liquids I guess.

Tomorrow I let the Dr. cut into my virgin belly!!:phanvan

Can't wait until this time tomorrow when it will be done and hopefully I'll be feeling okay.

Don't know how I'll be able to sleep tonight..at least I'm the first surgery of the day.:nervous

I can't take it anymore, my butt is killing me from these runs!! It started happening after I had to drink that disgusting barium yesterday morning. UGH!! I almost died when they cracked open another bottle because they thought they needed more pictures. Thankfully, I didn't have to swallow another gulp. One entire bottle was enough. Anyway, I guess I will call the nurse tomorrow to see if I should be having the constant runs or not. I was taking pain meds in the hospital, Morphine the first night and then yesterday some morphine and then Torrodol, yesterday and today. Could that be it?? I figure nothing but Fluid going in, then there should be nothing but fluid coming out. I also was on clear fluids for 2 full weeks before surgery, so I was pretty much emptied out (not to be gross) of whatever was in there leftover.

At least I know I'm not alone Hope! The same thing, the tummy gurgles then the race to the bathroom, lol. Thanks Jessica, I think I will try some Pepto or Immodium. Good luck tomorrow Swanny and Congratulation Wants2 and GonnaBeThin!

I also have had the gurgling and racing to the bathroom!!! No problem in that department at all! When I was leaving the hospital one of te prescriptions given to me was Colace for Constipation if needed (instructions were to take one ? times a day until first BM occurs)..I just laughed~!

It truly is amazing the different extremes of pain, etc that we all have had this month. I was back to work in two days, but a couple of people sound so miserable :-(...Hope everyone heals quickly!

I have not had any nausea since coming home. My dr. gave me a Rx for anti-nausea meds that I filled prior to surgery to have on hand...just in case. I'm guessing you don't have that. Have you tried tums or something similar??

I havent had any nausea either, and I was also given a prescription for it if need be...

Call your doc first thing so you can have something on hand. That is not fun!

Yes lamamama, i had a surge of nausea. A cold wash cloth, fan, laying down and a few less clothes and i was fine.

I had some zofran- per the nurse my dr. doesnt like antinausea meds- per the pt im not about to slip a band b/c of vomiting the first day!!

Im tolerating sips, ice, & 2oz broth, popscicle etc every hour per my info sheet. I think I just was up & sat up too long!

No stools at all- the gastrogaffin (horrific liquid styrofoam with a touch of skunk essence) is the cause of runny poop per the radiologist today!!

Glad to be banded!!!

momofmany hope you are well!

Good luck for those who are scheduled tomorrow!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
