Surgery W/ Dr. Ponce Excitement Vs Studying!

Recommended Posts

I need to study for my finals, still have to left but I cannot stop thinking about my upcoming surgery Thursday! I wish I could just stop thinking about it and concentrate in this last two finals! Then all of this stress is making me want to eat! I thankfully do not have a long liquid diet (only three days) but I have not been watching what I am eating very much today and it was supposed to be my first day. I guess since I am lower BMI and I am not eating things that greatly increase liver size I don't worry as much, but I should be following directions and I am not! Which makes me want to eat more. I really need to figure out what I am going to do about this emotional eating, soon! My surgery is in less than 3 days! Sorry for all the mumbling.

Thanks! My surgeon is actually in Mexico, dr. Ponce de leon, he actually taught Dr. Almanza (I see he is going to be your surgeon) how to do the sleeve and I believe he also did Dr. Almanzas sleeve. The twenty days will pass by really fast! I booked mine about 45 days ago and it all went very fast except for the last week!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
