Leaving Belongings When In Surgery?
I never worried about my stuff! My g/f went with me and took my purse. Our suitcases were tagged and put in the hallway until we went to the hotel/recovery house. I kept my Blackberry with me and left it in the bag with my clothes. Its a good thing because I wanted it as soon as I came out of surgery to text the world and tell them I survived!

I Can Eat A Lot.
I can eat 3 maybe 4 ounces at 5 weeks out....yes, I'm hungry every 2 hours.

How Did I Get To This Point?
UPDATE: I'm doing great! Tomorrow is my 5 week anniversary and I am down 25+ pounds. Working on the road at the moment, living in a hotel room, and eatig out all the time. I can order 1 meal and make it last for 3 nights! I usualy go for grilled shrimp or steak so I get plenty of Protein, and I keep my protein powder and bars with me at all times! I can eat pretty much anything I want, but only a few bites, and I'm full! Loving my new sleeve and plan on ROCKIN IT!!!!!

Just A Question?
I'm 5 weeks post op and can eat nuts as long as I chew them really well. Haven't tried corn yet. I really haven't had a problem with anything I eat yet! Sometimes I do eat too fast though....old habits die hard I guess.

Never Hungry-Ever!
5 WEEKS OUT AND I STARVE EVERY 2 HOURS!!! Trying to up/double my Prilosac to see if it helps any but no difference yet. I eat meat every 2 hours so it's not like I am filling my small stomach with something that isn' "substantial".

Unjury.com has fantastic chicken broth! Their other proteins or ok....nothing to brag about. I just ordered some same bars / proten / nectar from MYBARIATRICPANTRY.COM Will know in a few days if I like them. I've been getting the BODY FORTRESSWHEY ISOLATE from Walmart but I can barley choke it down now in my morning coffee.....and it's the best I've found.

Recovery House Vs. Hotel
The recovery house was full when I was there so we ended up at the hotel wothout a choice. Hotel was great! Very relaxing and the front desk keeps an endless supply of the frozen icies! I am planning to go back as soon as I get my surgery loan paid off and have a little nip here and a tuck or two there! Mexico baby....its the only way to go!

Protein bars are my new best friend! You should be able to order a lot of soups, and should be able to eat softer meats by then like chicken. Just order as normal, tell your work associates that you ate a late breakfast or that you areant too hungry and will take the leftovers back to your room for later. Works for me.... I also went to GNC and found single serving packets of protein that were IDEAL for traveling. I'll warn you now that they were NASTY!!! I think Ungery offers a sampler pack and maybe chicke. I would check into it for sure! Dont forget to pack your vitamins!

Travel Post-Op
HAHAHA....I did my expenses this week too! WOW....what a difference! Instead of trying to find the best place in town to eat I'm stearing clear and eating 1 taco, or 1 hamburger minus the bun!!!

You should be able to travel with no problem, however, you have to remember that you have a weight lifting restriction! I had to change computer cases and also make sure my suitcase was XTRA light during travel! You can easily take your protein shake supplies and protein bars with you.

3 Weeks Post-Op - Foamies/bubble In Chest? Anytime I Eat Or Drink
Sounds like you are ingesting too much too quickly! I have the same problem! It is extremely hard to make an ounce or two of protein last almost 30 minutes! I tend to wolf mine down and then I feel miserable! FYI....I can't burp since my surgery for some reason!
