I don't recognise anyone's new photos these days! You look great! Have you had trouble with your knees before?

Hope all is ok with your knee Kelli - I like your new photos Kelli an Mysty

Thanks Sue. This knee is crook at the best of times, so hopefully it will repair itself in time. Just another niggling injury.

Thanks, yes I have one bad knee from an old skiing injury. Was operated on unsuccessfully a couple of years ago. It now has arthritis and a recurring bakers cyst at the back. Since getting the sleeve and losing 33kg it's been a lot better, but I've done something new to it now which is just a nuisance. I am still exercising, but avoid using that knee or doing anything which is unsupported.

I just about had an orgasm eating a salad today. I had brought some ham, cheese, and crackers for lunch. But around lunch time I started craving Subway. You know that Subway taste. So I decided to risk it, and get a salad. I chose the roasted chicken breast salad, with a little Southwest dressing drizzled on it.

For lunch, I ate the chicken and about 1/3 of the salad. I had zero trouble at all, just remembered to chew carefully. Right now I have just finished my afternoon snack, which was the ham I brought for lunch, and 1/3 more of the salad. So good. I will toss the other 1/3, I feel like I got my money's worth. 1/3 of the salad itself (ignoring meat and dressing) is only 17 calories, 1 gram of Protein, 0 fat, 2 grams of carbs.

Mostly it just felt so good to eat vegetables! So many people say they have trouble with raw veggies, especially lettuce. But I haven't had ANY trouble at all (knock wood)!

I know Misty!! I just love salad these days!! Haven't had subway but if I get stuck will give it a go :)

Feeling a bit bummed- lost 0.2 kg last week. Thinking I might be in another stall- here's hoping things get moving soon. Will keep on going for another week but if it is no good then I will call the dietician for some help.

Sigh...

Hope your Mondays going better than mine :) cheers Liss

Lissa, you have lost so consistently in the past and as you are getting closer to reaching your goals it's normal for things to slow down and it was still a loss!

I agree! Still a loss. For what it's worth, I think I will lose nothing this week either, but I'm not letting it get me down.

Guess what, Kelli? I entered my appointment with Di wrong into my calendar and I showed up at 11, to find out that my appointment was for 9! So I dropped off my food journal with her and rescheduled for next week. Feeling a bit stupid.

That must be annoying especially when you have lost so much weight and you are an active person.Hope all goes well with your orthopod.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
