Yes, it's totally normal! I was so scared, the day of, as I was getting my IV put in I felt like I wanted to run out of there! But, I remembered everyone here telling me it was normal and that they had the same type of feelings so I didn't read into it. It's surgery and we go into a situation of having "no control" where eveyone is "doing things to us" like IV's, carting us around, cuting into us :-) , so we're human. We are going to have that fear response.

Really just take a few deep breaths. Relax, before you know it the procedure will be done and over with, and you will quickly on the road to recovery.

Thank you guys soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. It means alot to have people that ive never met care and give an encouraging word. It means even more because you all have "BEEN THERE DONE THAT" alot of people don't understand the emotions that come with such a surgery. I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart.. Im ready for the loser's bench
