I sent you a PM Sammee, it was most definitely NOT directed at you. I tried to put a disclaimer in even. I AM genuinely happy for those that finish their journey will a necessary and needed fine tuning.

Thank you Jacqui ((hug))

I am overly emotional, in dire need of sleep, and only 4.5 hours from my TT.

So emotions are high at the moment.

Only when its argumentative Jack. When someone pulls up something you said to pick it to pieces.

It makes me really mad. Like "get a life" and go bother someone else. I cant figure why someone's so obsessed with what I have to say. Or why they cant construct their own arguments that contribute to the debate but have to just disagree with things other people say. It makes them sound petulant, childish and not a little silly.

That picking the comments apart really kills it for me. Then you have the other person who is being picked apart saying.... no really I meant. and the other coming back saying you said ...... and they go over and over the same 3 stinking sentances. Makes me run the other way ....

Another thing that gets me is "is _______ going to erode my band".... the band is placed on the outside of the stomach, nothing you eat is going to eat through your stomach lining and into your band to erode it.... really.

Wheetsin - love that tale!

Its a thread killer for me when I read 'I must be on a plateau cuz I didn't lose any weight between 3 and 5 today'. Or " whats wrong, its been 3 weeks since surgery and I'm only down 32 pounds"...

Oh, I get it. I get irritated when someone expected miracles, not a tool.

Blanket statements kill a thread for me too. Ugh. And paranoia. "I've been banded 7 months and have no fill and eat almost as much as I did before banding. I think I stretched my pouch/slipped my band/eroded/etc."

LOL Dawg....you crack me up

It bothers the hell out of me when posters are asking the forum for advice on what to do during the pre and post-op diets when they have already been told by the Dr (the PROFESSIONAL) what they are suppose to do.

It really gets to me that they don't understand that the professionals have reasons for what and why they give instructions....they don't do it just to amuse themselves.

ooouuuccchhh! I see myself in some of these comments.

This is a juicy thread!

I don't like lengthy "timeline" dissertations--I haven't had a bm in 3 days--I can't understand it because 4 days ago I ate everything in sight--and then yesterday I---blah blah blah.

So, is this thread just a "nice" way to pick apart what other say and do? Remember, one pointing out means three pointing back at ya. Be nice folks. There really are some people here who are sincerely ignorant about their band. Who knows why? That's why we're here right? To help them learn. If they don't ask, how will they learn? Obviously their medical providers don't help them. Where would these folks be without a board full of people who are willing to comfort, explain and encourage.

Yes, what seems logical to us may seem like a shock of reality to another. So what. I originally jumped in this thread with some of my own sarcastic joking about these folks but then it hit me that I had a lot to learn at one time and I appreciate that noone attacked me for asking those "stupid questions". This thread is becoming a "I'm so much better than others" kind of thing. I sure hope that wasn't what it was intended to be when it started.

So.. now the thread dies, or a war ensues.

Love you all, really and truly. *hugs*

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
