Congrats to everyone!!!! Hope everything is going good for everyone! :) I think things are slower than what I was expecting. I was sleeved on the 3rd & have lost 18.3 lbs. I am thankful for every pound' date=' but it seems to be coming off slow.[/quote']

I was sleeved on the 2nd and have lost 18lbs total. I think it's coming off very slowly myself but my doctor told me I'm right on track. I would love to see it come off faster seeing as I go to the gym daily and follow the diet religiously. I'm getting frustrated.

Hello fellow April sleevers. I was sleeved April 18 and doing great. I had the robotic surgery and my surgeon said that I would feel back to normal much quicker and he didn't lie. I was pretty much doing everything I normally do 5 days post op except for heavy lifting. So far I'm down 8 pounds since day of surgery and 19 pounds since pre-op diet.

I do have a problem with feeling actual hunger and hope that it will get better as I move onto soft foods. The liquids just don't stay with me.

How many calories are you all able to get in at this point? I am already able to get between 600 and 700 calories no problem which scares me a little. I'm hoping that as I move onto foods it won't feel so easy to get the calories in.

aviiva, robotic surgery is still the same surgery with the same outcome, except the surgeon is sitting at a computer screen viewing everything 3D instead of 2D and telling the robot what to do. The robotic arms are connected to all the instruments instead of the surgeons hands. My surgeon does both the robotic and standard, but says that all his patients who had the robotic surgery healed at a faster rate.

Interesting! Sleeved here on 4/25 and feeling pretty good except for gas pains this evening. Wonderful doctors Dr. Wright/Dr. Stowers, hospital and the entire staff at Wise county (Decatur, Texas), were outstanding! Could not say enough positive about the folks there!

Looking forward to moving off Clear Liquids :)

Enid' date=' how is everything going for you? Do you have to come back for your 3,6,9 & 12 month check ups here?[/quote']

I have to go back for my 3 month check up only unless something goes wrong. They made it very easy for me. All my paper work, consult and psicologys eval was done over the phone. I flew in on monday 4/16 for my pre op and on tuesday 4/17 i was having surgery. I actually had a hard time with my surgery so i had to spend an extra night at the hospital but the staff made sure i was outta there on time on thursday morning since i had to catch a plane that morning. Great service.

April Sleevers, how are everyone's incisions healing? I am 4/3 and my biggest one is still not healed. I believe the super glue stuff fell off too early and let it gape open, which is making it take longer. The rest are all healed.

sleeved on 4/23. My incisions are almost healed. The glue is there, but there are all dried up. Cherrybomb - I was advised to call the surgeon is they were not healing properly. Maybe you should give the office a call?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
