Feeling Frustrated?

Recommended Posts

I have been thinking about how my weight loss is going and reading about people's concerns with it being slow, maybe for me too. Then, this morning, I got on the scale and it hadn't moved and I felt that little frustration monster whispering to me, just for a sec tho because I realized something. I thought about how many times I have been on a diet and fallen of the wagon, been unsuccessful, and given up. I thought about how many mornings I have woken up and felt disgusted with myself for what I ate the night before. I thought about how hopeless I felt about my future ability to lose. And I remembered all of the negative discourse in my head about what I failure I was. Then, I realized that things are different now and that even though the weight may be slow to come off, I am not falling off the wagon anymore. I am diligently working towards my goal. I am not tempted by junk food as much, and I am staying strong. The negative voices in my head are being silenced, and THAT is a victory in and of itself! Hopefully the weight loss will follow.

Carly,

you have a great attitude and one which will determine your success! Good for you for staying positive when it is so easy to let those negative thoughts get the better of you!

Good work... hang in there cos that pesky scale will move... you will give it NO choice!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
