Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?

M scheduled for my surgery April 26th and I was curious to see who else would be walking in the shoes of April with me. Tell me how you feeling? What's on your mind? Any worries? Second thoughts?

Great to hear from you Carly and so good of you to let us know how you are so soon after your op! Glad you are doing well. So it begins...

Yay Carley! You did it! We're all cheering for you - hope you feel great!

Way to go Cathy. So glad you are out of surgery and ok. I on the other hand managed to get sick yesterday. Went and got a Z-pack so now I hope I won't have any delays because of this. Sinus infection I think and hope that is all it is.

Congrats Carly!

Thanks for posting your update - and kudos to you for being the brave FIRST APRIL 2012 Sleever!

Heres hoping many more of us will join the ranks of successful sleevers!

Cheers!

-Kat

Thanks, Jimmy. I am feeling pretty good. Some crampy gas pains, but overall, I feel ok. Thirsty as heck cause they won't give me anything until day 2, but better than I expected. Looking forward to hearing all of your stories as well!

Congrats Carly!! So happy for you. I hope you can do a lot of sleeping til you get something to drink. :) Hugs...

Today has been a little worse in terms of pain. I had that excruciating gas pain that I have been reading about. Hopefully the walking will help to get rid of it. I am finally sipping on baby cups of water. they said I could go home today if I can get enough liquid down and if I want to. We'll see. I made the mistake of hurrying home when I had a c-section. Don't want to rush it but missing my kids!

Thanks for taking the time to update:) Was wondering how you were. It's amazing how a group of people can come together and be genuinly caring about people they will probably never meet!

Take your time, make sure you are ready to go home, physically & mentally. It's exciting to think of how things are going to get better & better from here on in. Your health and being overweight affect so much - things can only get better!

Less than two hours to go

I am also getting sleeved April 24th is my big day I am from Australia and excited, nervous ans scared but want to get this show on the rad

hey all, I WAS penciled in for the 16'th but now it's been moved back to the 30'th, just because the surgery scheduler screwed up. and to top it off, now the Dr. is concerned about the surgery because my body makes kidney stones when I do a high protien diet. My PCP isn't worried, he can prescribe a preventative medication to help with that issue. but it's still up to the surgeon.

Happy to hear from you! Yes, the gas pains can be worse than the surgery itself. Don't rush going home! I, too rushed going home after c-section, it turned into a big mess. Got a big ole infection do to not proper resting. When I'm home, I feel like I need to do stuff. Good luck and take it easy!

Good luck to you!
