I'm In "the Club"!

Had my surgery on the 24th and was released today. I had a pretty rough go of it with nausea and dry heaving, but it seems to have subsided. My insides feel like the creature from the Alien is roaming around, though. Constant gurgling. I can already tell that getting in the fluids is going to be a challenge. Anyway, just wanted to check in with you.

Congrats! Welcome to the losers bench. Try try try on those fluids as they will make you feel better quicker! Wishing you a quick and speedy recovery. I am just a few days ahead of you (20th)!

Glad to hear your home. You are very gassy and may need a PPI to help decrease the acid. It would be good to talk to your surgeon's office and ask what they recommend if your not already taking one. Welcome to the BIG LOSER'S CLUB! LOL Start ROCKIN that SLEEVE! :Banane57:

Welcome...try a medicine cup at a time...I actually bought those disposable bath cups. Keep on sipping:)

Welcome to the other side!!!!! Each day will get better and better!!!! Sip, sip, sip!!!!!

Congrats and welcome!! Do what the Dr's tell you and you will do just fine. Doesn't it feel good to get that part over with and begin a new part of your life? It did for me. :)

Congrats, hope you are feeling better soon :0)

Congrats on your new sleeve! You'll heal up and feel better every day from here out.

I still remember being completely grossed out by my noisy stomach post op. And to be honest, it's not as bad now that the acid isn't an issue anymore, but I still have a lot of gurgling and rumbling!

You'll get used to it, I promise. I'd take a sometimes embarrassing stomach over plus sizes any day. :)

Thank you so much! All your cheerful replies really lifted my spirits. I'm feeling pretty crabby today, so I must be on the mend!
