Well I'm 4 days post op and doing well. The pain is only sharp when I get up or sit down but definitely manageable. The food thing is weird! I'm only drinking Liquid Protein, broth and sugar free Jello. It's very strange because when I see other people eat around me I feel like I want a bite but I know it will hurt me if do. So maybe that's how the sleeve surgery works, if you eat anything your not supposed to your body will kick your ass for it! It's very strange to feel mentally hungry but not physically hungry. I guess this will take time to get used to. I'm looking forward to the next phase where I can have yogurt and cottage cheese.< /p>

Congratulations on your decision. Every day is another great reason to Celebrate. I think I was in shock at first and was still trying to wrap my head around this major decision. I bit something about 3 or 4 days ago and realized it was a very dumb mistake. It felt like it took 2 hours to digest. I am 2.5 weeks out. I rarely have pain, maybe a muscle ache here and there. The ironic thing I found is sugary stuff has absolutely no appeal for me. I am very happy about that. Congratulations and good luck.

I am two days out if you don’t the surgery day and I am finding it hard to know what is to much and am eating very little. I don’t have an appetite yet and hope that stays away for a while. Best of luck to you on your journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
