Late Period 1 Month Post Op?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have a late period post op? I've always been very regular. I had surgery 10/17 and started my period in the hospital. Now, for the first time I'm late. I'm certainly not pregnant, and doc said I can restart my birth control at 8 weeks. I've heard many stories of multiple/heavy periods but was anyone else late?

when did you stop your birth control? after stopping, it is common to be irregular for a few months.

and im sure surgery reaks havoc on our bodies & hormones too.

Missing a periods after having something traumatic happen to your body is very normal. I went almost 4 months at one time with no perios because I was so stressed about work, money, and other personal stuff. As soon as your body is ready you will be back to normal. Don't Worry!

I didn't get mine for 2.5 months but when I did get it was extra heavy and long. Now it seems to be getting back to normal now. I did go to the GYN because of it and I was given premarin and provera to get it kick started again.

I'm 4 weeks out and late too. Should have started right after surgery, but that didn't happen. Dec pap came back abnormal. Had to do a biopsy, no cancer (yay!) but discovered I have endometriosis (boo). Not looking forward to seeing Aunt Flo when she does come to town!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
